derive FTP output parameters - Remote Filename and Remote Directory automatically

HI, We have created BIP reports with pl/sql type and when we try to schedule them with output option → FTP, it requires to input Remote Directory and Remote Filename. Is there any option to get those values from lookup or any other way to avoid human errors ?

Hi Ganesh,
You could use bursting and provide all the required parameters there.
When scheduling the job, the user will not be prompted for the destination.Thank you

Does bursting option works if data model is created with of procedure call ?

Unfortunately it does not work with Procedure call.
I would request an enhancement request in the Idea Labs portal.
I would ask to have the "Remote Directory" and the "File Name" defined as part of the FTP server setup.
Just like the username/password is defined in the FTP server setup screen. This way, the user does not have to fill them out as they will be defaulted from the FTP setup screen.
Thank you

it shouldn't in FTP server setup as we may have different reports to send to different folders with different file name. we may use the same report with different parameters to generate a output file accordingly. so, we need to an option either type directly or an option to choose from a list.

Please share your feedback in the Idea Labs. You are right. some customers may have to use different directories and file names.
